English Reggaeton. It’s a phrase that catches people off guard but it really should not be a surprise to many. You have two languages, English and Spanish. You have two rhythms, hip hop and Reggaeton. Using basic math, we figure out there are 4 basic combinations available. English and Spanish hip hop and Spanish and English Reggaeton. While the first three combinations have been selected by many to use, it seems that English Reggaeton has yet to take off. In comes the young duo of Isaac and Dani.

Isaac Levario and Daniel Camacho met in the local high school in the town of Elgin, Illinois. The two had a passion for music and began recording as a hobby. It wasn’t long before they appeared on various mixtapes and started creating a buzz. Unlike most Reggaeton duos, Isaac y Dani come with a style that has never been heard before. By combining hip hop, Reggaeton and Spanglish in their projects, it is a fitting to be the self declared reyes de dos mundos. While most artists have shied away from being pioneers of their music genre, we are starting to see a trend of more daring artists. Hip hop has seen Kanye West create a new genre of music and Lil Wayne is on the verge of releasing a rock album. Rumors are circulating that Daddy Yankee will have an all English album out soon. So the next time you hear a Spanglish track on MTV, don’t be surprised to find out it is from Isaac and Dani.

One of the first things I noticed is the video where you opened up for Jowell y Randy, Tony Dize & Marcy Place. What caught my attention is the energy you guys went out with. What was that whole experience like?

The experience was a blast, mainly because Jowell y Randy are our favorite artists, we really wanted to show their fans our group also had something to offer that they could all relate to.

-A lot of artists struggle for a while before they catch their first break. When did you feel like you got your first real opportunity to shine?

I think our biggest opportunity to shine was when we hopped on board with Impression Studios to make the "SuperStar" video, it really gave our fans a chance to put faces and actions with the words of the songs they have been supporting and listening to for so long.

-How did this idea of fusing Spanglish and hip hop/Reggaeton come about?

The idea was basic. Mainly because Dani's family is Puerto Rican and fluently speaks Spanish in the household, whereas Isaac's family doesn't speak Spanish at all, though they are of Hispanic decent.

-What clubs have you heard about that you would like to perform in?

We heard that Zion has a club in Miami, if that's true I think that would be a hot venue to perform at.

-What projects are Isaac and Dani working on now?

Isaac y Dani are working on so much. We have a trailer up right now. Is it a new music video or a movie we're starring in? You'll have to stick around to find out shortly! Also, a possible tour is a big rumor going around
