FC: Mireya that’s pronounced Muh-ri-ya, what is the origin of that name?
MP: Its pronounced Mur-Ay-Uh. My moms best friend actually chose it from a novela she watched [laughs]

FC: Is there an ethnic root to that?
MP: Its Spanish if that what you mean, both my parents are from Mexico

FC: [laughs] yea I was trying to get at that. A pretty name for a pretty lady, what is the most flattering comment an admirer gave you?
MP: Hmmm its hard to choose I've gotten all kinds of stuff from guys saying they wanna marry me but actually last weekend these two guys were singing Your Way and Beautiful Girl out in the street it was funny [laughs].

FC: What do you enjoy most about modeling?
MP: I love dressing up, make up and all the attention being on you makes you feel famous for a little while. What's not to like [laughs]? Also working with the photographers ideas and seeing the work you can create I love looking at the pics after, I'm like oh that's me dang [laughs].

FC: Can you describe your perfect photo shoot, where would it take place? What would you be wearing?
MP: I'd love to do a swimsuit shoot someplace tropical like Bahamas, Costa Rica, I'm from the northwest its cold up here!

FC: Oregon right? Reggaeton is widespread nowadays but did it reach your area yet?
MP: Yeah Oregon  lol its pretty boring. lol yeah they play some, there isn't much diversity here so we just hear the stuff that comes out on TV.

FC: Well I do know there is a Valentines Day there which is right around the corner. Do you have any date advice for the couples?
MP: Yeah [laughs]. Just spend the day with that person you care about. It’s nice to buy stuff if you can but all that matters is being with the one you care about. I'm happy just being in good company but you know we all like gifts as well, can't lie [laughs].

FC: You are currently in a Miss Myspace USA contest. Would you like to tell us about that?
MP: Oh that's just a little contest I entered to see what happens. I'm still new to modeling just trying to see where I can get with it.
